Thou Shalt Not
Dawn Adams sat up in bed, propped her pillow behind her against the headboard, then snuggled back cushioning her head in the still warmth of the pillow. Looking down to her right, she smiled at the snoring figure beside her, the “Bear” of Wall Street, CEO of one of the foremost insurance companies of America, and her lover. Neither of them had planned for the affair they now enjoyed, it just happened. They had found this small two-story cottage in the sleepy little seaport town of Graceport, far from the peering eyes of the world, able to run around half-naked and making love at the drop of a hint. Old houses creaked, squeaked, and groaned, Dawn had learned. That squeak was the stairway. Puzzled, Dawn looked up just as the door was flung wide, unable to scream as a shotgun blast killed her, and then her lover. The killer broke the double-barrel shotgun in two, slid the pieces into special pockets in his coat, and departed.
Across town Detective Ron Macklin got the call, double murder on Sunset Lane, investigate. His investigation reveals the Graceport killer has struck before in New York. Mac calls on his friend, NYPD Homicide Detective Dominic Greyson for assistance. They have to stop a killer who vows vengeance on those who break the commandments, especially adultery.
